Hi, I’m Jimmy.
I run a research, consulting, and investment firm called Alderbrook.
Leveling Up is Alderbrook’s home for essays on lessons learned advising & investing in companies as well as predictions on where certain businesses and trends might be headed.
The newsletter focuses on topics at the intersection of music, technology, and investing. Sometimes I collaborate on these blogs with talented guest writers. For example, we’ve written pieces with executives from BMG, Twitch, and more!
My goal is to learn and have fun (hopefully with you) along the way! And, if I get lucky, Leveling Up can help you -- whether you’re an executive, investor, creator, entrepreneur, or just a curious learner -- create more value and make a bigger impact at work.
